Ullevi Tennis
Ullevi Tennis Club was founded in 1944 and has a rich history that spans several decades. The place where our current hall stands has been a central point for tennis in Gothenburg since 1901, making it one of Sweden's oldest tennis arenas. The current main facility, located in the heart of Gothenburg, was completed in 1993 and offers seven indoor courts as well as two outdoor clay courts.
Since 2022, we have also operated a second facility in Kallebäck with an additional four indoor courts, which gives us the opportunity to continue growing our operations and provide even better access to training for all our players.
Over the years, the club has nurtured many prominent players who have represented Sweden at the junior, senior, and veteran levels. Some of the most notable are Christina Sandberg-Lang, Anders Järryd, Magnus Gustafsson, Lars Jönsson, Björn Rehnquist, Christian Bergström, Johan Brunström, and Caijsa Hennemann.
Several of these players have returned in various roles within the club, which has created a unique link between generations and a legacy of both knowledge and inspiration.
Today we are a non-profit association with just over 1,300 members and focus on providing an optimal tennis environment for everyone, regardless of age and skill level. We are proud of our history and continuously work to develop and improve our operations with the goal of being one of the country’s leading tennis clubs.
With us, there are both future dreams and lifelong sports engagement – from the very youngest who take their first steps on the mini tennis court to national team players, recreational players, and seniors who have played tennis for over half a century. With our two facilities, dedicated staff, and a strong value base, we want to continue to be a place for everyone who loves tennis.
